Sofwave™ is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared aesthetic treatment that harnesses the power of Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam Technology, often referred to as SUPERB™. How does Sofwave™ work?
Sofwave™ operates by directing ultrasound waves precisely to the mid dermis, located at a depth between 1mm to 2mm beneath the skin's surface. This process is facilitated by seven specialised transducers that generate controlled heat. This heat creation forms a distinctive 3D array of volumetric, cylindrical-shaped thermal zones. These zones work in tandem to deliver continuous, parallel energy, effectively coagulating more tissue areas at an accelerated rate.
This orchestrated process triggers a natural healing response within the body. This response, in turn, jumpstarts the production of essential components for youthful and healthy skin, including collagen, hyaluronic acid (HA), and elastin fibres. As a direct outcome of this, Sofwave™ achieves skin tightening and lifting, improved elasticity, and a remarkable reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

What happens during treatment?
The treatment process begins with cleansing the skin. Following this, a topical numbing cream is applied to the designated treatment area, ensuring your comfort throughout the procedure. Once the numbing cream has taken effect, it is removed, and an ultrasound jelly is applied to the treatment area. Subsequently, the Sofwave™ device is introduced onto the skin. This device comprises a hand piece that is gently applied across the treatment area, allowing the focused and precise delivery of the treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of Sofwave™ treatments needed can vary depending on several factors, including the specific skin concerns being addressed, the treatment area, skin type and desired results. In many cases, after just one treatment results are long lasting (18 months to two years).
What areas can be treated?
Sofwave™ can be used on various areas of the face and body to address a range of skin concerns. The most common body areas to be treated are the eyes, face, neck, arms, abdomen, buttocks and thighs.
When will I see results?
Results can be seen almost immediately after Sofwave™ treatment, with the overall appearance improving over time.
How long do results last?
The results of Sofwave™ are technically permanent. However, the natural ageing process continues, and external factors such as sun exposure, lifestyle choices (like smoking and diet), and overall skin care can influence how long the results last. Does the treatment hurt?
